Entered a building that had this scary early bhoot bangla aura around it , and climbed a fleet of stairs . Went to the receptionist and smiled , expecting her to respond in kind. But all that she gave was a something like an evil grin even as poor keyboard was being rammed. A few moments later another grin , this time to the computer satisfied with the pounding she gave it. I was trying to get her attention so did a cough cough. Suddenly it dawned to her that its not her home where she gets to bash her husband , but her workplace . She virtually jumped out of her chair and yelled ” Oh … Gosh .. You scareeddd me … !!!” . Hmmm … well someone should show her the mirror when she smiles. With no change in tone she yells ” what do you want ? “. I politely introduce myself to her and say that I had an appointment with Mr Soandso at 9hrs 16 minutes and 33 seconds . “Mr Soandso” … she fumed .. “yeah he is inside swatting flies , but you will have to fill up that check in form . We will later sell the forms to the Raddiwala (Scrap dealers) “. ” Whats the point of me filling it up then ? ” , I asked. She gave me blank expression which sounded like “do as I say and do not ask questions” . Well that looked worse than her grin . I went on and started filling the really long form . 5 minutes later she says ” Are you filling in the form ?” . I replied ” No … I am making paper boats out of it “.For the first time she laughed (or maybe growled) and crackled loud .. ” yeah .. those forms are really big .. god knows what they do with your Great great grandfathers name”, pauses and growls again … “hahahahaha” .By then I filled up the form and thought I had enough of her. I asked her for the next step and she directed me to another table. “May I know your good name ” , I asked …. ” Miss Precise ” she snorted. No wonder she fumed at the name of Mr Soandso …..

A Masters Degree : a look into the future

A look into the future , with hopes of holding a masters degree ….made me do this .I Was never really into poetry , but a masters program does makes u feel different

Crude as it may be ,,,I still hope you all like this.

A MASTERS DEGREE : A LOOK INTO THE FUTURE

I was new, I was young
Set out on a journey,with a bag of none

In my heart was a thought,with the mind was a rhythm
that come what may ,behest the myth of hardships therein

future glory was the goal,behold the gods chose my path
along the goal awaits,none but a narrow frith

Rode along a path of thorn and stone,
Emerging happy and sad with nothing to gain.

Fact is not an axiom, for reasons cause it to whether
and I shall change them,with the power of my will ,forever

Masters is yet but one of the precious stone(s),
The future holds much more in store

Hello people …..

So here I am …. another one amongst thousands of novice bloggers … who embark on a journey to share views and feelings through the virtual world …THE INTERNET …

For those wondering what does my Blog–title mean …
Since the languages I know are English ..Hindi and Tamil (predominantly) … the title is the meaning of the word life in that order too ….

At this moment ..am busy with preparations to leave India …. to pursue a Masters degree at the University of Colorado ..,Boulder located in the US of A … the land of dreams … and opportunities that people in India ..supposedly believe it to be .The feeling that i would be one amongst a handful , to get an opportunity to spend some time in a so-very-much-hyped-country … obviously ..Excites me .

Strange I chose this moment to start blogging … As a person i never was good at multitasking …. If busy with something ..would never bother (or never want to) to do another task…

Probably this would be the change … this would be the dawn of a new era in my life … this would help me to … Oh well ..have to stop …. I don’t want to bore you guys ….

Shall be posting my experiences all along in the US where I would be in less than a months time from now … nd continue to do so wherever life does take me … and of course some memories from the past ..some of them fond ..some forgettable ..but memories nevertheless
